Speaking of reality TV wrestling - I watched the DVD for the season of Real World and the season the Miz was on - it looked like a fun season but I never saw the season when it happened- Miz had standout charisma.

Wrestling apologists want to shift the blame from wrestling and I am not a doctor so I don't know the actual cause of death, but the cynical side of me thinks it is a direct result of experimentation with HGH and steroids that ultimately led to the early demise of Warrior. He was known as the anabolic warrior for years and until the hatchet was buried was known as much for his potatoes and odd promos as his ability to shift merchandise and sell tickets.
The oddness about the tribute week and the superb career of Warrior documentary is the fact that it is so clean and almost too perfect (like say the conclusion of Breaking Bad). I mean I guess it is not perfect for the friends and family of Warrior. It is sad they lost their father and husband and it is a bizarre end to a unique chapter in wrestling history. I was not a Warrior fan - simply put he was aimed at a different demographic and I was not fully engaged in WWF or even wrestling at that time.
The Legends of WrestleMania shows are simply not on par with the Legends of Wrestling programs in the Vault on WWE Network.
Speaking of Legends house - I am enjoying the show - but I am not entirely in love with it. I mean Roddy Piper is my alltime favorite wrestler- but well the show is not exactly my cup of tea.
The Journey to WrestleMania with Daniel Bryan is worth watching.
For the price so far - the Network is a hell of a bargain.

Overall the 360 feed was about 3 minutes lagged behind the laptop feed- however it was a decent viewing experience and even better than the post raw event or even the mania press conference - kudos for such a fine selection and a memorable PPV. I did enjoy the battle royal and the result- congrats to Claudio for his big win.
Decided to watch moments that I cared about in WCW- first the godawful train-wreck that was Starrcade 1997- why oh why did they not just have Sting beat Hollywood outright - arrgh. Currently watching the end of the streak at Starrcade 1998 - I am a Goldberg fan , but also a Nash fan at that time and I was excited with the change - even the ridiculous run-ins. In the end it speaks to the emotional connection that WWE has made with their fanbase- the long con- once they decided on the streak they made it as big as the title and they added an emotional element to the taker matches - add in the best performer Mania history HBK and then HHH - Lesnar as a heel will get tremendous heat and that is a good thing. The yes movement ended up being overshadowed by the cessation of the streak. And so did the surprise return of the Rock.
Sadly after being inducted into the WWE on Saturday and making an appearance on Raw on Monday Warrior passed away Tuesday.

Variety covered the story online . The gamble has paid off so far on Wall Street.
I watched the lackluster press conference yesterday morning at 11 am EST- and the event lagged several times- I can't imagine what will happen when most of the WWE universe tunes in live for the New Orleans gala event. Currently I am watching Elimination Chamber 2014 which just got added to the 360 content offering and while it does not Buffer or lag - it has moments where the sound clips and it sounds like a VHS tape about to snap. The stakes are high Sunday- lag is the enemy- but if the feed goes down -look out.

Former Minnesota Governor and wrestler/announcer Jesse Ventura released the book 63 documents the government doesn’t want you to read. It is some eye-opening stuff about chemical testing , assassinations and more – the overall layout of the book is annoying at times- mixing a half page of text with parts of the 63 documents- including parts that are all smudged up- sure it looks vaguely authentic- but I was more curious about the information. Still worth a gander if you are curious about conspiracies.
The top movie at the box office was Hop.
The 100th and final episode of ROH on HDnet is broadcast on HDNET.

what I want to see on Tough Enough - since they are going for entertainers - not wrestlers- I want to see some tap dancing, maybe juggling , mime , running the ropes- not so entertaining- unless it is HBK v HHH for the European strap - I mean championship.

Multi time champion Edge retires from active competition. He makes a heartfelt speech on Raw and then takes the speech on the road. The World Heavyweight title is vacated.
Meanwhile in Chikara The Colony beat F.I.S.T. to win this year’s King of Trios tournament.
Thursday April 20,2011- Jay Lethal is released from TNA , the charismatic young performer started to really gain attention when he did a spot on impersonation of Randy Savage, his character was Black Machismo and threatened to have him typecast for the rest of his career as a impersonator instead of himself. Then again his woo-off promo with the Nature Boy Ric Flair was a classic moment in TNA.
What is the future for Jay Lethal? With his early elimination from the curtain jerker @ Lockdown it seemed like something was up- he went from one of the promos of the year in 2010 - now??? - he would be a great match-up for Sin Cara- of course - in a TNA style match- not WWE- he will do well anywhere- I think he is one of the great younger talents and still has plenty to contribute.
TNA Impact started off strong with AJ staring down Bully Ray while standing on top of the cage- that was followed by Beer Money beating up the Immortal lackeys- then things went downhill - in one of the worst segments of the year- Karen Jarrett was doused in horsepoop- - ok I get it- Carrie was a good movie with iconic imagery- that was in the 70s- and having Sting vs Cold Blooded Matt Hardy as a main event is an automatic channel changing moment- I don't think anyone thought for a single solitary second that Hardy would win. Anderson and RVD have totally lost my interest.
Smackdown was ok this week- the highlight was Cody Rhodes handing out
paper bags to the audience. The Corre is about to break up- I am sure no-one
cares about it- but I like the individuals in the group and am glad that
Barrett was able to retain the IC belt without help. Also Miss
was on The Soup as they played a Tough Enough clip and I like the new Honda
commercial with the guy in the lucha mask. USA
