Punk in Africa

Imperfect but interesting look at Punk rock music during and after apartheid in Africa. The first 60 minutes cover the apartheid period and music - but mostly covering the Caucasian experience and not the black experience. I did discover several interesting tunes while watching the documentary and that is always a plus. If you are looking for some new to you vintage punk this is worth streaming on Netflix. The second half of the movie lost me but that is probably because I am less into the more ska leaning type of punk than older punk stuff- but that is for each listener/viewer to decide. Overall it is always fun to approach music from a different time and era and it was informative.  B-
